The region’s premiere social event, the 10th annual Blue Tie Ball hosted by the Nevada athletics department, in the Tuscany Ballroom at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino was an evening of elegance, entertainment and delectable fare to celebrate the successes of Nevada's student-athletes. This year’s theme was Studio 54, bringing DISCO back with black tie attire and themed formal gowns.
The gala featured hosted cocktails, culinary stations and sushi chefs from Peppermill’s restaurants, and wine and beer tasting. Musical entertainment for the evening will be provided by Wes Quave, a recording artist hailing from New Orleans.
Tickets were $400 per person and tables of 10 sold for $4,000. Proceeds from the event funded scholarships for Wolf Pack student-athletes.
